Korba : J&K Rajouri Police Foil Bovine Smuggling Attempt in Nowshera – One Arrested, Vehicle Seized, Bovine Animals Rescued

Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, Police Station Nowshera foiled an attempt and rescued 05 bovine animals.
During patrolling duty in the Bareri area, a police party laid a special naka near Bareri Chowk and started checking vehicles.
During Checking one Mahindra Bolero bearing registration No.
JK11A-2475, coming from Bareri side towards Nowshera was signaled to stop. The driver attempted to flee but was swiftly intercepted by the alert police party.
On questioning the driver was identified as Yasir Hussain S/O Mohd Shreef R/O Ninganaar Rajouri. During vehicle search 05 bovine animals were found loaded, which were being transported illegally without valid permission.
The animals were rescued, the vehicle was seized and the accused driver was taken into custody. In this connection, FIR No. 120/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is underway.
