Jammu/Rajouri : Major Infiltration Bid Foiled in Rajouri, One Terrorist Killed in Nowshera Sector.

Security forces foiled a major infiltration attempt near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. During the operation, one Pakistan-backed terrorist was killed, while a search is underway to track down another suspect.
Sources said that on Sunday evening around 7 pm suspicious movement was also reported in othe Keri sector of Rajouri. Following the alert, the Army launched a search operation by firing illumination flares to light up the area.
According to officials, acting on credible intelligence inputs, security forces detected suspicious movement of two terrorists near the LoC in the Jhangar area of Nowshera at around 3 pm on Tuesday.
Alert troops immediately launched a search and interception operation in the area.
Troops of the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps responded swiftly and effectively, foiling the infiltration attempt. During the operation, one terrorist was neutralised, preventing any successful breach along the LoC.
Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the area to trace the second terrorist.
Surveillance across the sector has been intensified, with both ground and aerial monitoring being carried out to keep a close watch on the region.
