Jammu/Rajouri : Indian Army’s Jhangar Battalion Facilitates Northern Command’s Dhruva Motorcycle Rally as Part of 10th Veterans Day Cele

As part of the 10th Veterans Day celebrations, a Motorcycle Rally organised under the aegis of Northern Command passed through the Jhangar sector, where it was formally hosted and facilitated by Jhangar Battalion with due military honours.
The rally, flagged off from Udhampur on Five Jan. 2026 is traversing the complete Area of Responsibility of 16 Corps, covering approximately 294 kilometres, with the aim of honouring the valour, sacrifice, and service of Indian Army veterans while fostering national pride and unity.
During its passage through the Jhangar sector, the rally halted at the Usman Memorial, Jhangar, where a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was conducted to pay homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
The ceremony was organised by Jhangar Battalion, reflecting deep respect for the supreme sacrifice of the fallen heroes.
In addition, the medical team accompanying the rally conducted medical camp under ‘Aarogya Rakshak’, providing health check-ups to ESMs, Veer Naris, and Next of Kins.
BP monitoring machines were also distributed to deserving beneficiaries, reinforcing the Indian Army’s commitment towards veteran welfare and community well-being.
The conduct of the rally at Jhangar showcased Battalion’s dedication to honouring veterans, preserving military traditions, and strengthening civil-military relations in the border areas.
The event was widely appreciated by veterans and local residents, who expressed gratitude for the Army’s continued outreach and respect for those who served the nation.
