On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, the Department of Computer Applications, SKC Govt. Degree College Poonch organized a series of academic and awareness-oriented activities under the supervision of College Principal Dr. Jasbir Singh. The programme aimed to promote the safe, ethical, and responsible use of the internet and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
As part of the event, an online quiz, a poster-making competition, and an interactive awareness session were conducted.
The objective of these activities was to sensitize students about cybersecurity, digital ethics, data privacy, and the responsible use of emerging technologies.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Khateeba Lecturer, Department of Computer Applications. Highlighting the significance of Safer Internet Day she emphasized that in the present digital era, responsible and ethical use of the internet and AI has become extremely important.
She also briefed the students about the programme outline and encouraged them to actively participate in all the activities.
The awareness programme witnessed the participation of Dr. Asadullah Khan,
Prof. Wasim Akram, Prof. Loveleen Kaur, along with 137 students, who actively took part in the event.
